Cunard Fashion week, big band balls and more!















2016 is already set to be an exciting year with the news of a refit to our flagship, Queen Mary 2. But we are also delighted to announce a series of event cruises on each of our Queens. Queen Mary 2 plays host to our first Transatlantic Fashion Week while Queen Elizabeth celebrates all that's great about British fare with a British Isles Culinary Discovery.

In addition each of our Queens will hold their own Big Band Ball complete with a 13 piece orchestra and special guests.

Renowned for glamour, dressing up and unforgettable special occasions, we are delighted to launch our first ever Transatlantic Fashion Week.



Join our luxurious flagship Queen Mary 2 in early September 2016 for a glamorous array of Fashion Shows, Exhibitions, Audiences With our special guests, hosted dinners and more, arriving into New York for the start of New York Fashion Week.



Featuring some of the most reputable names on the fashion scene including Fashion Designer Dame Zandra Rhodes,Colin McDowell MBE, esteemed fashion historian and commentator and legendary creator of New York Fashion Week, Fern Mallis.



Emerging ‘new faces' from Storm modelling agency will showcase Zandra Rhodes' designs and collections from post-graduates at the number one university of art & design, the Royal College of Art.







To celebrate our proud British heritage and authentic regional specialities from around the British Isles, we are pleased to bring together Queen Elizabeth's expert Chefs and Sommeliers with reputable names and producers from the world of gastronomy - including Charles Sichel of Maison Sichel and Jilly Goolden, English Wine Critic and UK Television personality.

Enjoy a Chateau Palmer Master Class with a wine tasting and blending workshop with Charles Sichel and an exclusive wine dinner in the Verandah Restaurant with vertical wine tasting and food pairing. In each port of call guests can immerse themselves in culinary delights including visits to the famous distilleries of Bombay Sapphire gin and Glenmorangie whiskey

Following the success of Queen Elizabeth's 2015 Big Band Ball, Cunard is now delighted to host this spectacular event on each of our ships. Dance and music lovers everywhere will be treated to a magnificient 13 piece Big Band orchestra in the Queens Room to celebrate Sir Samuel Cunard's birthday on 21 November.



Queen Mary 2's Big Band Ball will take place on a Westbound Transatlantic Crossing. Special guests include Kenny Martyn, one of the finest jazz clarinet players from the UK, performances from Virtuosity, an energetic and enthralling all girl trio, encapsulating a variety of genres into stage shows that appeal to all musical tastes and comedian Tony Daro.




Join Queen Victoria for some winter sun in the Caribbean and enjoy performances from award winning male band The 4 Tunes, a glamorous mix of classical showpieces from Elektra Violin Duo and an audience with Roy Walker, one of the UK's much loved TV personalities.




A three night break on
Queen Elizabeth provides the ideal setting for her next Big Band Ball. Joined on board by the Tenors of Rock, five of the best male rock voices in the UK and British Comedy Award winner, Singer and Comedian Mike Doyle, this short break is the perfect excuse for a long weekend away in the latter part of the year.







Award winning artist Midge Ure will be treating guests aboard Queen Mary 2 to an exclusive performance in the Royal Court Theatre with his show Midge Ure Unplugged, in Concert. Midge's services to both music and charity were recognised when he was awarded an OBE.

He will also give a talk 'Building Emotions, My Life In Music' and will feature in a Q&A hosted by the Entertainment Manager.
