Scenic Unveils Three New 2019-2020 Scenic Eclipse Brochures Showcasing Cruise and New Cruise-Land Opportunities all Around the World
Free door-to-door transfers, early booking savings, free submarine excursions, and more
Boston, September 2018 – Scenic Luxury Cruise & Tours is offering plenty of details and highlights in its new 2019-2020 Scenic Eclipse brochures. Reorganizing the material, the company is issuing three versions – Europe, the Med and the Americas; Antarctica; and the Arctic/Baltic region – encompassing both cruise offerings and land-cruise combinations, some of which can be split so non-cruisers can enjoy extraordinary escorted land tours.
Along with the brochures, Scenic is announcing several incentives: Early-bird Fares offer up to 10% savings on all sailings; and paying in full by Oct. 31, 2018 on any departure saves between $300 and $750 per person. Guests booking a cruise-land departure will receive the Early-bird Fare, regardless of when it is booked, as well as a free 20-minute submarine excursion (or equivalent on-board credit). And on a large number of select sailings, the line is offering: free private door-to-door airport transfers; $500 per person on board credit; and complimentary Deposit Protection. There are a limited number of sailings offering 50% off the single supplement. All offers are on sailings through August 2020 and are combinable with past offers and vouchers.
Since the original 2016 announcement of the world's first Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse, (launching at the end of January 2019), the company has been hard at work, filling in the details of the guest experiences. These brochures describe every day's activities and offerings in great detail, describing the ship, activities, food, and amenities combined with multi-page tour descriptions.
· Europe & The Americas Voyages – the list of countries offered is extensive – ranging from the Mediterranean's Greece, Spain and Italy to Germany and Poland, to the many coastal towns along Canada's and the USA's eastern seaboard to Central and South America. Highlights include viewing the Panama Canal transit from a comfortable ship verandah, stepping back in time in Cuba's Havana, the smaller ports in the Med, such as Cassis in the French Riviera, and visiting the tiny World Heritage site of Isla Gorgona, Colombia, once an island prison and now a wildlife paradise. Land-Cruise opportunities include eating and touring your way through Italy before a cruise to Portugal and Spain; or gain a true understanding of Colombia while visiting Bogotá, Pereira, Medellín and Cartagena, before a cruise through the Panama Canal, ending in Peru.
· Antarctica Voyages – perhaps no where else does the Scenic Eclipse shine as brightly as the remote glacial regions of Antarctica and the Arctic. The ship is made specifically to offer luxurious comfort in these unforgiving climates as well as offer far ranging opportunities not available on their competitors: a six-guest submarine, capable of depths up to 300 meters, shows of marine life usually out of view; and two luxury six-guest helicopters can take guests into the inner reaches of the Antarctica Peninsula to see wildlife trekking across the ice flows. Guests can pick from Antarctica-only itineraries or ones that combine with South Georgia Island and the Falklands; Peru; the Galápagos and Peru; Ecuador; Argentina and Brazil; or the Chilean Fjords. Guests can also enjoy land-cruise tours that combine South Georgia with Argentina and Brazil or with a Patagonian adventure. Or explore the Chilean Fjords in combination with Cape Horn; Argentina and Brazil; or Peru.
· Arctic, Fjords & The Baltics Voyages – imagine relaxing, with an afternoon drink in hand, as the sights of glaciers, fjords, pristine waters and uninhabited islands serenely enter the view. Especially when those are the views along the Northwest Passage and Russia's White Sea – both detailed in this brochure. The 21-day Northwest Passage adventure takes in Greenland before heading out through the Canadian Arctic Islands, past Pt. Barrow and ending in Nome Alaska. Russia's White Sea includes stops in Murmansk, Kola Peninsula, the Solovetsky Islands and Arkhangelsk – all picturesque and all incredibly isolated. Other Arctic sailings include Norway's Fjords, Greenland, Spitsbergen, Iceland, Atlantic Canada, the numerous Baltic treasures including Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
Melding world-class innovation with incredible luxury, the Scenic Eclipse has ratcheted up the cruise industry standard for doing expedition cruises: 114 all-verandah suites range in size from 345 ft² to 2,659 ft²; 10 dining options – from Asian Fusion to French fine dining to a chef's table to a poolside buffet; a 5,920 ft² spa with a well-equipped gym and separate yoga and Pilates studio; two six-guest helicopters and one six-guest submarine – to allow for explorations far beyond any done on expedition ships to date; a 240-seat theater for entertainment and lectures; indoor and outdoor plunge pools; butler service for all guests; and an almost 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio.
And then there is the technology: innovative zero-speed stabilizer fins, 50% larger than standard to provide greater stability; the highest passenger ship ice class rating – Polar Class 6 (Ice Class 1A Super); redundancies in propulsion, navigation, safety systems and food refrigeration; state-of-the-art bridge systems; and a GPS dynamic positioning system allowing for stationary positioning without an anchor.
Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has grown over its 31-year history to include award-winning, all-inclusive escorted tours that take participants to many of the world's most fascinating destinations; two award-winning river cruise lines – Scenic and Emerald Waterways; and, launching January 2019, the world's first Discovery Yacht – Scenic Eclipse. Emerald Waterways' seven Star Ships offer deluxe cruises in Europe, and the Mekong, while Scenic's 15 Space Ships offer truly all-inclusive, five-star river cruises in the same destinations as well as the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar.
