Emerald Waterways Expands Dalmatian Coast Yacht Sailings with New Ships, Itineraries
Book by April 30 to Receive Free or Reduced Airfare on All 2020 Croatia Sailings
Boston, MA (April, 2019) – Last year, Emerald Waterways announced it would venture into the world of ocean cruising with a yacht sailing itinerary along Croatia's dramatic Dalmatian Coast. These eight-day cruises between Trogir and Dubrovnik—which were met with high demand and sold out quickly—will launch this April, and Emerald Waterways is already working upping the ante for the 2020 season with two new yachts and a fresh itinerary to the northern Dalmatia region.
For the 2020 sailing season, Emerald Waterways will exclusively charter two new yachts – the MS Swallow, launching this year, and the MS Lastavica, which is set for its inaugural season in 2020. Each 18-cabin vessel caters to a maximum of 36 guests with modern en-suite cabins, a rooftop Jacuzzi, sun deck, VIP saloon and a specially-designed swim platform to encourage dips into the crystal-clear waters. The yachts also incorporate a spacious outside and inside restaurant to help guests take full advantage of the Mediterranean climate.
For travelers looking to explore the lesser-known islands and ports along the northern reaches of Croatia's stunning coastline, the eight-day Pearls of North Dalmatia cruise will sail round trip out of Trogir. Highlights include Zadar, known for its Roman and Venetian ruins; Rab, where red-roofed medieval buildings nestle alongside four iconic bell towers; Telašćica Nature Park, comprised of thirteen islands, islets and rocks, with a delightful scattering of peaceful bays, rugged cliffs and pre-Romanesque ruins; and a cruise through the Kornati Islands, with their stunning uninhabited islets and reefs.
The 2020 season will also see the return of the popular eight-day Islands of Dalmatia sailing between Trogir and Dubrovnik, which pays call on Šibenik, one of the oldest towns on the Adriatic Coast; Skradin, where guests can explore Krka National Park, well known for its magnificent waterfalls; Hvar, with its rolling lavender fields, cultivated vineyards and hillsides dotted with terracotta-roofed villas; Pučišća, often cited as being one of the prettiest villages in Europe; and Korčula, one of the greenest islands in the Adriatic Sea. A 16-day land and sail itinerary, called Discover Croatia and the Islands of Dalmatia, adds three days in the historic coastal town of Opatija; two days in Lake Bled, Slovenia, an earthly paradise at the foot of the Julian Alps; two days in Zagreb, Croatia's dynamic capital city; and concludes with two days in Budapest.
Guests booking a 2020 Dalmatian Coast sailing on Emerald Waterways will receive free airfare or $1,000 off per person on the 16-day itinerary, and $495 airfare or $500 off per person on the eight- and 12-day itineraries when booked by April 30, 2019. Rates start at $2,995 per person based on double occupancy.
Emerald Waterways' river cruises offer contemporary, deluxe ships, outstanding service and an incredibly inclusive pricing plan. Cruise fares include all transfers; all port charges; all onboard (and some on-shore) meals; unlimited specialty tea and coffee, wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner; bottled water in the cabins replenished daily; continental breakfast, pre-dinner canapés and after-dinner sweet treats served in the top suites; complimentary Wi-Fi onboard the ship; most shore excursions as well as all onboard and excursion gratuities. On touring days, hotel accommodations, internal flights, and transfers are also included.
