Global Travel Update – Current requirements and restrictions for U.S. and Canadian passport holders

This is just a selection of the latest information on new entry requirements and restrictions. For a full list of destinations and each country's entry requirements for U.S. and Canadian passport holders, please visit our website

The list of international travel destinations that your clients can safely travel to is ever-changing, so all outbound passengers should check with the U.S. Embassy or Canadian Government and their preferred airline before finalizing travel plans. And while the Government of Canada has strongly advised against non-essential travel, our Destination Experts are happy to help you craft trips for your Canadian clients departing later in the year and into 2022.

Asia:
  • Sri Lanka: Recommended for fully-vaccinated Americans and Canadians. Fully-vaccinated travelers no longer need a PCR test upon arrival. Hotels that were deemed Level 1 are now moving out of this level, which means most hotels will now accept only fully-vaccinated guests. It will also be increasingly difficult to find chauffeur guides for those who are unvaccinated.
Europe:
  • Netherlands: Open to Canadians and fully-vaccinated Americans with restrictions. U.S. travelers require proof of full vaccination, and a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 48 hours of departure from their originating destination; or an Antigen test taken within 24 hours of departure from their originating destination.
  • Portugal: Open to Americans and Canadians with restrictions. Portugal has ended the requirement for a digital certificate or a negative test for access to restaurants; Portugal has also ended timetable restrictions, as well as capacity limits. Portugal's bars and clubs have reopened. However, it is mandatory to present an EU COVID-19 Digital Certificate for major cultural/sporting events, health facilities, bars, and clubs.
