New Excursions to Explore in New England

Our New England itineraries take guests along some of the most iconic coastlines in the Northeast, and our excursions offer guests and opportunity to get an authentic experience at ports around the region.  Recently, we have added new excursions for guests to experience while cruising with us, and we wanted to share some of our favorite new additions.
One of the highlights of our New England itineraries is the traditional Lobsterbake. Our version of this long held New England summer tradition features fresh lobsters, steamed clams and mussels, warm corn on the cob, and baked rolls, prepared on a fire along the beach. In addition to the finest seafood in the area, we also feature live music presented by talented local musicians.

In this famous whaling city, the New Bedford Whaling Museum is the largest of its kind, devoted to the history of North American whaling. The tour begins with a narrated walk led by a park ranger or a trolley ride to the Visitors Center. Guests will enjoy a short introductory film in the theater before taking a short walk across the street to visit the Whaling Museum. While touring the exhibits, guests will gain an understanding of the industry that shaped the town of New Bedford.

Visiting the Avenue of Mansions is like traveling back in time to the epicenter of 19th-century opulence.  While exploring, a knowledgeable guide takes guests down one of the most architecturally impressive avenues in the world. Guests will learn about the owners of the homes and their monetary successes as they travel along the spectacular Ocean View Drive and Bellevue Avenue, stopping at the "grande dame" of them all, The Breakers Mansion.
