It has been a month since Aqua Mare started sailing, and our inaugural voyages have been as magical as we could've ever imagined. For Aqua Expeditions' founder, Francesco Galli Zugaro – who first started his career in luxury travel in Ecuador – this launch is particularly meaningful. He has dreamt of bringing a luxury expedition ship to these shores for over a decade.

"It's such a gratifying moment in my life to finally return to the Galapagos Islands and let our guests experience the Enchanted Islands on board our superyacht Aqua Mare," says Galli Zugaro.

Aqua Mare is the fifth vessel to grace the Aqua Expeditions fleet, and the first ever superyacht to sail the Galapagos Islands. Featuring seven Zuretti-designed suites, extravagant social spaces, and an immaculate attention to detail, the 50-meter-long expedition ship raises the bar for luxury cruising in the region.

While on board, guests enjoy the islands' most exclusive 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio and a journey curated to their every desire. The daily excursions are unique to the region – from snorkeling with sea lions and Galapagos penguins to hiking through mangroves and lava fields. Finally, the cuisine – overseen by culinary mastermind Pedro Miguel Schiaffino – presents an adventure of its own, inspired by the dramatic landscapes of the Galapagos Islands and the Peruvian Nikkei style.
