North to Alaska with Princess Cruises!
We are very excited to announce the launch of "North to Alaska!" a series of new onboard offerings that fully immerse guests in the Great Alaska experience. The program debuts in May 2015 on all Princess ships sailing to Alaska.
Wild Alaska Seafood
In partnership with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, Princess Chefs will be specially trained to ensure the seafood is authentically prepared.
There will be a dedicated Alaska cuisine themed night in the main dining rooms as well as a special Alaska Cuisine menu in the specialty restaurants.
We've also partnered with some of the best local joints in Alaska to provide true Alaska favorites onboard including Crab Cakes from "Tracy's King Crab Shack" in Juneau, Fish Tacos from the "Alaska Fish House" in Ketchikan and a Mermaid Halibut Burger from the "Skagway Fish Company".
The winning dish from the 2014 Great Alaska Seafood Cook-Off, a pan seared Alaska salmon served with root vegetable hash and mushroom tea, created by local chef Travis Haugen of Southside Bistro, will be featured in the main dining rooms onboard.
